Thank God I did not put down this website. I'm back, in hopes of bringing back my love for poetry.

Orpheus
As if your songs and poems of love weren't enough,
You descended into the shadowy underworld to plead with the gods.
You told Hades and Persephone
How much you loved Eurydice.
Everyone was touched by your song and story,
So they gave you one chance and the right of entry.
But then you lost when you broke the rule.
Oh, the things you did for love, they turned you into a fool.
So everyday you wept and sang your songs,
And swore to never love another.
Then came the day you had long awaited...
Your death.
Finally, the two of you met,
And walked side by side without the fear
Of losing each other
Ever again.

Linger
Now I understand
Why others delete photos,
And leave no traces.
It's because...
These images and videos,
They bring back
So many memories and feelings.
A sudden rush of blood,
Palpitations,
As I was brought back
To that moment.
It took me even further.
The years we spent talking,
Cheering each other,
From our smallest to the biggest wins,
They meant so much to me.
I loved you,
And I think I still do.
Perhaps, some memories
Are meant to linger,
Even longer,
And even when the photos fade.

Gifts
"Lazada po,",
the delivery riders greet,
once or twice a day,
as my parcels arrive,
like little gifts of joy.
Pieces of furniture, shelves, organizers,
and also some decorations,
I purchased and DIY-ed,
in an attempt to make a cozy room.

Keys
A ring of keys on my left hand,
I open the door with the access chip,
The keys janggling as I do my rounds.
Ground floor, second floor, and the third,
Thank God I have no business at the fourth,
And certainly also none in the basement.
I swore I signed up for the CMT position,
Not for accounting, purchasing or marketing,
Yet here I am, juggling tasks,
Wondering what it is I am doing.
I appreciate the trust and high expectations,
My bosses are nice, supportive and generous,
But I hope the others could do their jobs.
My keys jangle as I do my rounds,
Making music like a tambourine,
Announcing my arrival.
