The right person
Will show up
He will make you
Feel loved
Seen
And heard
You wouldn't have to say a word
He'll know you too well
That he will be fluent
With your words,
Body language,
Thoughts,
And even your silence
He will respect you
And accept you for who you are
But would not tolerate
What's not right
He will inspire you
To be the best version of yourself
But won't force you to
You will just want to
He won't intentionally hurt you
But if he does,
He will do his best
To cheer you up
He will always believe in you
And cheer you on
When you're too scared to do something
Because you're scared to fail or fall,
Show you how strong you are,
And make you realize
What you are capable of doing
But he would offer a helping hand
Whenever you need it
He will be with you
From your darkest to your brightest days,
Hug you while you cry,
And celebrate with you
For your small and big wins
He'll show you what you deserve
He'll show you what true love means
For he will love you with all his heart,
Mind, body and soul
You wouldn't have to doubt it
He wouldn't even have to reassure you
For you'll feel safe and secure
You will just know
Someday, someday
The right person
Will come
At the right moment
And I shall smile
