Subtle

You left a subtle clue

That made me confirm it is you

Oh, you still got your humor

And your references, on point

Sublime

And though there are times that I forget to pray,

God never fails in protecting me everyday.

He gave me light when my world went dim,

So through this poem, I give thanks to Him

From the smallest blessing, to the biggest wins,

He perfectly curated this life that I am in.

His timing is always perfect, His plans, sublime,

So I will keep my life in His hands, not mine.

From one blog entry to another,

I see you are enjoying this,

As much as I am.

You see the battles I've won and also lost

In here, I share with you my miseries,

So feel free to decode the mysteries

Makes Sense

The Good Kind

He said he was a distraction,

But he was the good kind,

Distracting me from thoughts

Of sadness and self-destruction.

He thought poorly of himself

So I was hoping he would see

How in this world full of darkness,

He shines so brightly.

So I wrote him poems,

And started singing songs,

But I never told him directly-

He was just good with deducing.

我为你感到骄傲

So, you did pursue

The thing you said you would do

I am proud of you

Somehow, I always knew

Whatever you set your mind to,

You would push through

Some or maybe most of my poems might not make sense but that’s alright. I’m starting my writing exercises again.

I posted a poem the other day. It was simple, and it was meant to be interpreted literally. But after rereading it, I realized, some may give it a deeper interpretation. LOL. What I wanted to sound simple, sweet and sincere sounded so intimate the nth time I read it. That’s the fun part of art and poetry, right? Everyone has their own take.

Let's Meet Again

Let's meet again,

The new you and the new me

No walls, nor filters

I'll open up to you wholeheartedly

I'll tell you what I like and what I don't

With 100 percent honesty

Let's meet again

And do the things we've always wanted to try

We can watch the stars while we talk about our scars

And tell each other stories while we laugh and cry

We can do anything, but we can also do nothing

We can be silent, I'll just be right beside you, I wouldn't pry
